Parallelization of Program to Optimize Simulated Trajectories (POST3D)

چکیده
This paper describes the parallelization of the Program to Optimize Simulated Trajectories (POST3D). POST3D uses a gradient-based optimization algorithm that reaches an optimum design point by moving from one design point to the next. The gradient calculations required to complete the optimization process dominate the computational time and have been parallelized using a Single Program Multiple Data (SPMD) approach on a distributed-memory, non-uniform memory access _UMA) architecture, namely the Origin2000.

Parallelization of Rich Models for Steganalysis of Digital Images using a CUDA-based Approach
There are several different methods to make an efficient strategy for steganalysis of digital images. A very powerful method in this area is rich model consisting of a large number of diverse sub-models in both spatial and transform domain that should be utilized. However, the extraction of a various types of features from an image is so time consuming in some steps, especially for training pha...
متن کاملMixed Large-Eddy Simulation Model for Turbulent Flows across Tube Bundles Using Parallel Coupled Multiblock NS Solver
In this study, turbulent flow around a tube bundle in non-orthogonal grid is simulated using the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) technique and parallelization of fully coupled Navier – Stokes (NS) equations. To model the small eddies, the Smagorinsky and a mixed model was used. This model represents the effect of dissipation and the grid-scale and subgrid-scale interactions. The fully coupled NS eq...

متن کاملAutomatic Parallelization and Optimization of Programs by Proof Rewriting
We show how, given a program and its separation logic proof, one can parallelize and optimize this program and transform its proof simultaneously to obtain a proven parallelized and optimized program. To achieve this goal, we present new proof rules for generating proof trees and a rewrite system on proof trees.
متن کاملTASCA Monte-Carlo Simulation Program and Program for Studying Ion-Optical Parameters of Dipole and Quadrupole Magnets from Field Maps
Ion-optical calculations are often performed as a first step when designing magnetic systems. As a second step Monte-Carlo simulations are performed of EVaporation Residue (EVR) trajectories through the separator, varying parameters like target thickness, gas pressure and magnet field. Such a program is very useful to optimize all system parameters and to plan and to prepare experiments. The ne...
